Jill's Tumblr
Happy Birthday to Jill's Tumblr!

My Tumblr is 1 year old today!  It’s hard to believe that a year has passed already since I first started using Tumblr. My first post is certainly less than interesting, but since then I’ve made an effort to post things that reflect how I feel. It evolved into discussing my transition from Canada to the US, and now it’s mostly about all the great things Canada has to offer. Who knows where it will go from here.

To celebrate the big day I added the ever-so-entertaining random tag to my sidebar, so feel free to use it and check out some of my entries you may have missed.

Tumblr and Reblogging

I’m not sure how I feel about Tumblr reblogging.  My Dashboard is full of reblogs, and it seems like things are continually passed around.  I realize that reblogging is one of the most unique features about Tumblr, but at the same time, I don’t think it fits with how I personally use my Tumblr.  There are a lot of interesting arguments over at the Ning Tumblr community in support of reblogging, and I clearly can’t deny the popularity of this feature.

I love Tumblr as a blogging platform, but I’m not so sure I love Tumblr as a community.  I guess I just don’t play well with others ;)

Tumbling Along...

I’ve been playing with Tumblr throughout the day, and I like the changes; however, I am disappointed that a commenting system wasn’t released with this version. I know a lot of people feel that Tumblr doesn’t need comments, but I would love to be able to comment on other Tumblr’s posts. At least there is a system in the works, and I’ll have something to look forward to with the next release.

Tumblr News

I had given up checking the official Tumblr Blog due to the obvious lack of updates, but apparently I missed The Big One. A Tumblr redesign is set to appear on November 1st. I can’t wait!
